Which Galaxy phones and tablets support Samsung DeX (full list)

Samsung DeX · the official list of compatible devices — and the similar-sounding models that usually cause confusion.

Watch out for the similar names

Some models cause real confusion when checking compatibility — mostly because their names look alike, or because they belong to lines where other devices do have the feature. These are NOT compatible:

  • The Galaxy Z Flip7 FE doesn't support DeX — neither over HDMI cable nor via Wireless DeX on a TV or monitor.
  • The Tab S9 FE, Tab S10 Lite, Tab S10 Plus and Tab S10 FE don't support HDMI output.

Specific models people ask about

The same official list, applied to the models that come up most often:

  • Galaxy S10e — supported, over a wired connection. It's part of the S10 series.
  • Galaxy Note 8 — supported. The Note8 series is on the list.
  • Galaxy A54, A52 and A50 — not supported. In the whole Galaxy A line, only the A90 5G has DeX.
  • Galaxy Z Flip 3 — not supported. On the Flip line, only the Z Flip7 has DeX.

How to connect, once you've checked

With your model confirmed on the list, the path is the same one described in the previous note: a USB-C to HDMI cable or adapter for stability, or Wi-Fi on newer compatible TVs.

Worth checking before you buy

If the plan is to use DeX on a monitor or TV, check the compatibility before buying a cable or adapter. When in doubt, Samsung's official page is still the best reference. This note is part of the Samsung DeX complete guide.
